This is a triptych of aluminium etchings showing three variations on a pair of curves which almost touch. They might be considered boulders or pathways.
Printed in blue-black ink (Caligo) on high quality heavy-weight textured paper (Somerset, 250g). It has an off-white window mount and is backed with quality backing board and ready to frame.
The print is from a small numbered edition (6) and is signed and dated.
Approximate dimensions (WxH) in mm.:
Paper: 190x190 x 3
Image: 80x80 x 3
Mount external : 600x230
Mount window: 150x150 x 3
I can supply framed or un-mounted too - please contact me directly.
I have greetings cards with the same image available too.
The title came first, I wanted to try and encompass the idea of almost but not quite meeting. perhaps from the idea that you might have almost met someone in the past had a slightly different route been taken.
I had been experimenting with etchings, these are on aluminium, so tried that technique for the print. Aluminium can be etched with saline copper sulphate solution which is a lot more pleasant to work with than nitric acid or ferric chloride for etching copper. Gives a quite different result to copper but it worked for this image.
Each image is a separate plate and separate print and is mounted in a three-window mount.
