Full description
I simply love the natural beauty of wood, especially when it's been reclaimed with a new purpose in mind. This inspiration led me to create a range of wall art which uses old forgotten pieces of wood, turning them into decorative pieces to grace your home.
For this particular piece I have created a choppy uneven design, using decoupage on some boards, old gold Rub and Buff on one and painting another using wonderful Annie Sloan chalk paint. The remaining boards have been left natural, with a coat of clear wax to bring the beauty of the wood to life. The plaque was then lightly distressed to add character and a unique charm.
This lovely decorative plaque would look amazing in a variety of settings, in a hallway perhaps or against the backdrop of a natural brick or stone wall.

I make all my art work to order, so please note that your item may differ slightly in tones and colour of wood from the one listed. I do, however, always carefully select each board to maintain a rustic charm.
