One moment I gaz'd from the hill's gentle slope / All hush'd was the billows' commotion,
And tho't that the Light-house look'd lovely as Hope / That star of life's tremulous ocean.
Thomas Moore 1478-1535
This miniature was painted using a single turquoise artist quality watercolour marker onto good quality 300gsm watercolour paper.
It measures a tiny 2.5 x 2.2 inches or 6.3 x 3 cm.
On a 1:12th scale this would be the equivalent of approximately 30 x 26.4 inches or 75.6 x 36 cm.
Presented in a clear polythene collectors sleeve with a certificate of authenticity and a very cute handmade mini envelope, all of my miniature art is a delight to both collect and to gift!
Although this painting has been created using artist quality materials on acid free watercolour paper, it is a collectible, not a toy, and is not intended for small children.
Please note all props are for illustration purposes only and are NOT included in the sale. You are more than welcome to follow my tutorial on how to make your own dolls house easel from long matches here: http://www.stephanieguy.co.uk/2014/05/how-to-make-mini-easel-for-your-dolls.html
As with all water-based art, to keep it at its best it is important to display this painting out of direct sunlight and away from damp/humid conditions.
