freehand embroidered zombie ninja fabric notebook cover and A6 sketchbook.
zombie ninja is in pale pink cotton and a pretty liberty print fabric, with bright pink detail to his collar & sash. his peeking face and hands are in pale corpse blue linen, and his eyeballs are hand embroidered.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto cotton calico, the detail drawn on with free machine embroidery (free motion embroidery).
this cover is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine. everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the slipcover is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with vilene.
the calico cover is washable and re-usable, simply replace the sketchbook when it's full. the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK. they are quality casebound hard cover books, containing 92 pages of 140gsm acid-free, all media cartridge paper.
my design is based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, and is used under license.
