Over 1 million tonnes of textiles are thrown away in the UK each year. I can't bear to throw away old clothes, so instead enjoy turning old T-shirts and other garments into 'T-shirt yarn’. They produce a stretchy, soft yarn that is great for chunky crochet or knitting projects.
