I had been looking for something to do after completing my Open University Degree last year. I found that I was drawn to old furniture and fabrics. So I took a weekend course in upholstery and a few month later ended up reupholstering and selling 2 chairs. I had a small amount of material left and thought.... that would make a lovely matching lampshade! So off I went in search of construction materials and I've not looked back. Fabric lampshades have taken over my life, I get so much pleasure from making them that I can't stop. I hope you like this shade and the others that I am about to list on Folksy.

I have made this lovely lampshade in my home studio at Cherry Orchard Cottage. It has a range of various vintage chairs on a cream/mustard background fabric, it's unique, colourful and affordable!
It is 20cms diameter and 19cm high approx. Maximum bulb wattage is 40 watt and low energy bulbs are recommended. This one is suitable for a lamp base.
The lampshade materials have been tested and passed by the Lighting Association glow wire test.
