Treaclezoo con-fusion food: sushi snail
My niece Sophie overheard a conversation in which I was telling a friend (a Masterchef fan) that my latest invention was an example of “fusion food”. “Confusion food?” she asked. And so my latest range was thus named.
This cute amigurumi snail carries an umeboshi & avocado maki roll on her back – she IS vegetarian, after all. Her body is striped in co-ordinating pink and avocado, and likewise her tentacles match: a thoroughly well-dressed snail, who just happens to be on her way to the 2010 Escargot For Sushi Convention in Paris, where she hopes to meet up with fellow Maki Mollusca.
Dimensions: approx. 12cm long, 8cm tall.
