Sunflower brooch in gift-box. Handmade needle-felt flower jewellery
I have used the technique known as dry-felting or needle-felting to create this bright cheerful sunflower. The petals are two shades of light orange-yellow, just like the real sunflowers in my garden. The centre is a pale yellow-green with a ring of glittering beads for stamens. A silver coloured metal safety brooch pin sewn onto the back makes this into a wearable treat.
The sunflower is about 10cm (4 inches) across and 4cm (1.5 inches) deep. This gorgeous handmade flower brooch comes nestled on tissue in a handmade gift box tied with a pale yellow organza ribbon ready for giving.
