Douglas Fir, also known as British Columbian pine, Columbian pine or Oregon pine. why did i choose Douglas Fir for this unique home gadget?
well it is the strongest of our homegrown softwoods and can cope with alot of heavy duty uses, Like Oak, there’s not alot it can’t be used for, it is naturally durable and will fare better than other softwoods. so perfect for using daily and naturally hardwearing. So perfect for a functional design like this.

Douglas fir is used to create a simple, multi functional gadget for the home. The walnut screw thread turns the cube into a nut cracker, a candle/incest holder or mini clamp if you need to hold something together.
Using the Douglas fir cube on its own turns it into a pen pot or a cactus/air plant pot.
finally when used with one of my unique screw thread coat racks you can simply screw the cube onto the coat rack using a screw thread peg (sold separately) to add an extra functional element to your coat rack to store keys or decorate your hallway with a plant or flowers
There is pretty much no limit to what this can be used for. Why not have a collection to create a centre piece on a dinning table or for a neat, compact storage solution on your desk.
each cube and thread tool is handmade and finished with several coats of Danish oil to protect the wood and provide a long lasting hard wearing finish. Each piece may look slightly different to the ones shown in the photos due to the natural properties of wood and differing grain patterns. Which in turn add to the unique individual character of this handmade design
