Unique mosaic coat rack with black tempered glass and blue ceramic tesserae, plus two reflective metallic coasters--so you can catch one last look in the mirror before you leave the house. This item was upcycled from mostly discarded items, including a drawer front, tempered glass plates, and ceramic plates. Other items were purchased from Brighton charity shops. Make this coat rack a creative and eye-catching addition to your home, or make it a fabulous gift for a friend or loved one!

I will ship to UK addresses via Parcelforce Worldwide for 48-hour delivery. If you are concerned about shipping cost or breakage, this item may also be picked up in Brighton (as are all of my items).

Because the edges of the tessarae are sharp and the surface is uneven, I recommend caution when handling and hanging the coat rack. Do use the loops of your coats to hang.

I got the idea for this item when I saw an abandoned drawer front panel leaning up against an outdoor bin. With two drawer pulls already on it, the addition of some more hooks and a mosaic design would make it into a great coat rack. For the mosaic tesserae, I used some black tempered glass plates and a blue-green ceramic plate, which I also found by a bin. Upcycling these discarded materials, with the addition of some charity-shop coasters and locally sourced hooks, glue, and grout, has been a fulfilling, though time-consuming process. I hope I can find this item a good home.
