Daisies are one of my favourite flowers - they always remind me of times spent on the school field making daisy-chains in the Summer! That's why I picked them (sorry for the pun!) to embroider onto the front of this sewing needle case.
I love making needle cases as, apart from being one of the most practical things a crafter can have, they're a great way for me to indulge my love for embroidery. As well as a scattering of daisies the word 'needles' has been hand stamped and then stitched onto the front of the case - just so there's no doubt (for anyone picking it up for a closer look) as to what's inside!
The outer fabric is a cotton/linen mix and the case has been lined on the inside with a pretty green and white floral print cotton. Inside there are 4 grey wool-mix 'pages' for storing needles When closed the case measures approximately 10 cm by 12.5 cm and is secured with a delicate organza-like green ribbon tie.
