This cat is in Becote (Cordia gerascanthus) which is also known as Mexican Rosewood, as it comes from Mexico, a small tree often not growning more tham about 30cm wide, which means only small amounts of heart wood are available from each tree, the irregular black lines are often quite straight but also benifit from swirls where branch stock originate.
This little cat, nicknamed the masked bandit due to the thicker line across the eyes, he measures 40mm from the tip of his tail to his back toes, and 45mm from ear to tip of tail, he's just 3mm thick and comes on an 18" silver plated chain.
As with all animals he is hand cut
