I'm an expat Kiwi, and the Southern Cross is a symbol of home. Many times have I looked at it through my telescopes. It's something the that really makes me connect with New Zealand.

Are you an ex-pat from the Southern Hemisphere? Maybe you're a Kiwi, an Aussie, from the Pacific, South America, or South or Southern Africa. Maybe you still live there. ( I will ship worldwide) All of us Southern Hemisphere lot grew up with the Southern Cross shining brightly every night. Now you can have this beautiful Southern Cross Stained Glass Suncatcher in your window to take you back there and remind you of home.
It's made from a dark blue & light blue patchwork glass background, and the stars are white iridescent. Iridescent glass really comes into its own at night when it reflects internal light, making the cross glow warmly & brightly.
Each star is a different size, reflecting how the brightness of the stars in the real Southern Cross are. The Alpha Star (the biggest one) is the bottom star, and they get smaller moving in a clockwise direction. The cross is not symmetrical on purpose. The real Southern Cross is like this and that is what I have tried to achieve here. As you can see, I have only included the 4 main stars in this design.
There are two hanging loops. I would recommend attaching a small chain, wire or fine string to these and hanging it from a hook fixed into the frame or wall near the top of the window. I don't recommend suction hooks, as I have found that one day, maybe tomorrow, maybe in a years time, they will loose suction and fall off.
Size wise, it is about 20 cms high, 15cms wide.
