Full description
This glass cabochon was fused by me. The glass was heated up to around 800 degrees celsius in a small glass fusing kiln and then it was then brought to annealing temperature to make them strong. This whole process takes over 10 hours to complete.
This cabochon has pretty burnt orange shimmery dichroic on a clear forest green background. The dichroic has created a crinkly opaque frame of gold-gold and deep orange. It is fitted with a silver metal crocodile clip and is approximately 8.5cm long. It might also be used as a brooch or to fix a scarf.
This sale is for one hair clip only.
Not suitable for small children - these are made from real glass and need to be treated with respect - they may have sharp edges if broken. It is, however, made from thick annealed glass so is fairly robust for everyday use.
