The inspiration behind this piece was last summer when the garden was in full bloom.
Everything was bursting into flower, notably reds and especially the roses that were a bright crimson with the sun reflecting from them.
I remember putting the red coat of enamel on the then plain pendant and as I looked up I could see the roses. I was creating this piece at the garden table whilst outside enjoying the summer sunshine - yes we did get sunshine last summer! The spirals became the roses that I could see and the glitter on the back made me think of the grass that was green and lush.
This piece evolved into becoming summer and abundance, warmth and sparkle. A love of warm sunny times, and so I made a wire heart that was carefully added as the main feature.
