This is a beautiful cross back linen apron.
I use high quality, durable British linen with Welsh flannel for the cottages and bias binding to finish the edge neatly.
The cottages are inspired by the traditional old cottages in my area, the fabric I use comes from my local woollen mill.
The shape has roots in vintage style and also Japanese aprons. A very easy to wear apron with a pair of handy pockets.
This apron will protect your clothes around the house and out in the garden brightening up your day.
Each time I make one of these aprons the combination of flannels that I use varies slightly so no two aprons are exactly the same.
To wash your apron please either wash in the machine on a 30 degree wash or wash by hand. Do not tumble dry just allow your apron to dry naturally. For ironing you will need to use steam. Then put it straight back on and enjoy wearing it.
The linen will slowly soften with age.

Thank for looking and please take a look at the other items in my shop.
The appliqued cottages are inspired by the old cottages in my local area, particularly the Ty-Unnos or One Night house. A house built by the community in one night to house a family and give them rights to live on that piece of land. They would work through the night to ensure there was smoke coming out of the chimney in the morning. There are very few of these cottages still standing as they were built in a hurry, but they make up a very important part of Welsh history.
