This item is made using Bergere de France Sonora yarn in gardenia.

The yarn is 50% acrylic and 50% cotton and is a joy to work with. It provides excellent stitch definition and holds its shape brilliantly. The weight allows the garment to drape well to your shape and feels luxurious on.

The jumper has a row of motifs around the bottom of the item with a pattern repeat making the main body of the item. Sleeves are set on a dropped shoulder design. Neck and hem have a decorative edge stitch detail.

The item can be hand or machine washed at 30 degrees and should be dried flat to avoid losing its shape.

Measurements are approximately 96cms (38") chest, sleeve length from shoulder seam is 34cms (13 1/2") and from neck is 53cms (21") and from shoulder to hem is 58cms (23"). The jumper weighs approximately 500g.

I recently retired to Rousay, one of the Orkney Islands, where the scenery is spectacular and wildlife astronomical. The northern lights make a regular appearance and are known by locals as "merry dancers" and whilst Rousay is located a long way north, it is not as cold as you might expect. The gulf stream keeps temperatures reasonable, wildlife thriving and a diverse array of plants and flowers. All these things are beginning to influence my creative side and I am finding inspiration at every turn.
