Full description
A beautiful and striking scarf. Weighing in at only 25g this super lightweight and sheer scarf has been made using a nuno felting technique. Various natural white (unbleached wool, cotton and silk fibres have been laid over a scream silk chiffon material and just enough unbleached white merino wool fibres to trap the inclusions have been added to both sides prior to felting.
The nuno felting process causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk chiffon trapping the inclusions and binding them with it. The resulting dress length scarf measures approximately 122cm x 34cm (48" x 13.5"). It is super soft, amazingly lightweight and drapes beautifully. It would look fabulous with any outfit, smart or casual or even as a wedding accessory.
A lovely gift for any occasion.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
