I find plain envelopes a bit too plain so many years ago I started making my own from recycled paper. I kind of got out of the habit untill a friend reminded me about the lovely envelopes I used to make.
When this out of date atlas fall apart I decide rather than send it to the recylce bin I would recylce it into new useful and interesting envelopes.

Full description
Ten handmade envelopes. Each envelope has been made from recycled old out of date world maps. The envelopes are made from thick paper stock and have a glossy finish.
These envelopes can be used to send letters or cards up to A6 size through the postal system but would require an address label affixed to the front in so the Royal Mail can read the address details.
They would require a little glue, cellotape or double sided sticky tape to seal them.
They can also be used for scrapbooking, journals and to put party favours into.
