I love the sea and often holiday by the coast. On our last trip we had glorious weather and I took lots of photographs of colours, textures and shapes along the shore.
In making the scarf, I have used all my favourite materials and the fluid shapes that I love. I have spent quite a long time working on this scarf and just love it! I'll be sad to see it go to a new owner. I hope whoever it is has as much pleasure from wearing it as I have had from making it.

Full description
This original felt scarf is part of my Coast Collection. It is a one off design incorporating shapes and colours inspired by the sea.
I have used merino wool in a mix of blues and turquoise in making the felt and have added some silvery strands loosely on top to catch the light.
The scarf has three Harris Tweed panels in a beautiful herringbone of turquoise and teal. I have left the edges raw in keeping with the seascape design.
The scarf can be secured with a felt loop and a gorgeous handmade glass button (from Heavenly Anarchist) which keeps it in place, especially handy on windy days! If you prefer to wear it loose, the loop can be turned to the inside and held in place by a pretty porcelain button in complementary colours - a little secret, which you can choose to reveal or not!
This is a striking scarf, with lots of detail and every element handmade. It will turn any outfit into something special!
The scarf can be gently handwashed in cool water.
