A trip to Marrakesh sparked the imagination when taking a tour around the Bahia Palace, along with other works of architecture typical of the city. The ornate layout of the crochet tablecloth inspired me to work with a palette and form similar to that of the Moroccan buildings, and incorporate the easily layered or laidback shift style that would suit the bohemian spirit of Marrakesh.
