Full description

This glass bowl was fused by me in my studio. I layered green aventurine shards between clear sheet glass, then the glass was heated up to around 800 degrees Celsius to melting point in a small glass fusing kiln and it was then brought to annealing temperature to make it strong. A hand cast glass dragonfly was then fired on to the surface. It was then slumped into a candy bowl shape. This whole process takes over 32 hours to complete.

This square bowl has a shimmering green surface representing a river and a 3D emerald dragonfly with turquoise wings with navy veining. The bowl is approximately 6 inches across and is glossy and smooth. It has been fully annealed to make it strong. This would make a great gift or treat.

Not suitable for children - this is made from real glass and needs to be treated with respect - it may have sharp edges if broken.
