Welcome to Heavenly Anarchist, home to an abundance of glass and textile art. Please have a look around, I have a wide selection of homewares and gifts to suit all tastes.
This glass trinket bowl was fused by me in my studio. The glass was heated up to around 800 degrees celsius in a small glass fusing kiln. It was then brought to annealing temperature to make it strong. Any sharp edges were then smoothed by my grinder and the glass returned to the kiln for further firing. It was then slumped to create a bowl shape. This whole process takes over 22 hours to complete.
This square trinket bowl has a pink and white clouded base with a yellow chrysanthemum design and is approximately 10cm across. Though designed as a trinket bowl, it might also make a good soap dish. An ideal present for someone you love.
Not suitable for children - this is made from real glass and needs to be treated with respect - it may have sharp edges if broken. It is, however, made from thick annealed glass so is fairly robust for everyday use.
I wanted to make a pretty, feminine bowl.
