I wanted to make a brooch which expressed my love for Scotland, traditional materials, and mini-dresses. Most of all I wanted it to be fun to wear!

Full description
This cute tartan dress is one in a series of dress brooches I've made. It's in honour of lots of things I am passionate about: Scotland, traditional textiles, fashion, recycling and of course, mini-dresses.
Completely handmade, it was sewn on my trusty Janome sewing machine at my home studio, near Scotland's beautiful capital city, Edinburgh.
The reverse is made from recycled leather.
It's made up of several layers, which makes it sturdy but lightweight.
A silver coloured metal fastening pin on the back keeps it securely attached.
Measurements:
2 inches by 1 and three quarter inches approximately
5cm x 4cm approx
Will be wrapped in tissue paper and well packaged so it arrives in excellent condition.
