The Rogano is Glasgow's oldest surviving restaurant and one of the most icononic resturant frontages in the City. As I walk past it almost every day it seemed a natural choice to make out of Lego. The sleek Art Deco tiling, marble and chrome lends itself to a Lego interpretation. I also introduced a bit of fun bringing the lobster in the sign to life.

I've created a stylish lego model of Glasgow's famous Rogano restaurant frontage. Opened in 1935, its beautiful Art Deco features were modelled on those of the Queen Mary liner which was being built in Glasgow at the same time. While my model is largely faithful to the original, I've used Lego to bring the lobster on the sign to life a little.
The model measures around 25cm by 25cm and contains 350 pieces. As with all my models, there is no glue involved, however for transit I will use bostik sticky dots to keep the lobster in place! These can be easily removed.
'My friend loved the Rogano and it has pride of place in her apartment.'
