Full description
This unique ring has been hand made by me in my home workshop, using traditional silver smithing techniques.
The fossil ammonite was found by me on the South Coast of England, along the famous Jurassic coastline. The fossil has been cast by pressing the original into delft clay casting medium before removing to reveal a finely detailed copy of the original fossil. Molten sterling silver is then poured into the mould to create the casting. This fantastic fossil is then filed and polished before being mounted onto a hand made sterling silver ring shank. The addition of sterling silver wire decoration, soldered to the shank finishes the design.
The ring would make a fantastic piece for everyday wear. A substantial amount of sterling silver has been used to make this ring. It weighs 7.36g
The thick sterling silver band has been fully hallmarked at the London Assay Office and bears my unique makers mark. The ring has been made to a size L - M according to my ring gauge.
