I send everything by 1st class post in the next available post, it usually arrives the next day. So please shop with confidence that it'll turn up in time for Christmas. With the exception of my overseas customers where it may take a little longer!
This is a handmade machine stitched textile flower pod, it has a restricted secret opening at the top to hide away treasures within, it is made to look like a flower and has leaves hanging from gold threads. It uses hand dyed cottons and hand dyed silks amongst other fabrics
Height approximately 9.5" width 7"
I hand dye the majority of my fabrics. To hand dye my fabrics, firstly I have to wash the fabric and dry it. Then I mix up the dyes individually and add then to the fabric separately. The dyes will merge into one another over the next 6 hours or so that I have to leave the dyes in order for them to take to the fabric. I usually do this overnight so that I am not tempted to look before they are done. I rinse out the fabric to get rid of the excess dye and then wash it again in the washing machine. Then depending on the weather is will line dry or tumble dry the fabric. It is now ready for me to work with.
