This handmade in Norfolk from a weathered, washed up piece of driftwood found on the local coast, this tide clock is forever connected with the sea.
After collection from the beach, we cleaned the wood, cut the tide clock into a circle, and applied a white paint effect. Keeping time with a high quality Quartz tide clock system, blue letters show the high and low tide times and the remaining hours until the next shift.
Beach lovers, surfers, coastal residents, and sailing enthusiasts will love this tide clock for its unique function and special look inspired by the fresh salt of the ocean from which it came.
Tide clocks have a special clock movement which keeps an approximation of the average time between high lunar tides which is 12 hours 25 minutes per revolution. As the precise average time between high lunar tides is actually half of a lunar day, or 12 hours 25 minutes 14 seconds, all tide clocks gain about 15 minutes per month and must be reset periodically.

The tide clock comes with a hook on the back for easy installation, the clock hand is removed for shipping to avoid any damage, simple fitting instructions are included. This wood tide clock has been installed with a high-quality quartz operated movement which is operated by a single (1) AA battery which is NOT included.
