Reduced price for clearance, was £15 now £10.
This glass cabochon was fused by me. It was cast in a mould and then the glass was heated up to around 780 degrees celsius in a small glass fusing kiln and then it was then brought to annealing temperature to make it strong. It was smoothed in my grinder then fire polished in the kiln to create the smooth glossy surface. This whole process takes over 17 hours to complete.
It is a stunning ornament, with multiple layers of Egyption blue and vanilla frit creating a beautiful marbled effect. The copper in the blue glass has reacted with the sulphur in the vanilla to create a pleasing chocolate colour. The surface is textured to provide a contour of a dragonfly making this a very tactile piece. This is a unique and eye catching piece of costume jewellery.
It is approximately 4.5cm high and approximately 2.5cm across. A beautiful piece of statement jewellery and one of a kind. Ideal as a present to a loved one.
This pendant is tied with a black cotton cord necklace for more informal daily wear but can easily be worn on other mounts due to the pendant shaping.

Not suitable for children - this is made from real glass and needs to be treated respect - it may have sharp edges if broken. It is, however, made from thick annealed glass so is fairly robust for everyday use.
