Full description
A hand knitted Adult Slouch Beanie Hat. This great hat has been knitted with two strands of Double knitting yarn so is extra warm. The brim as been knitted in garter stitch, while the main body of this great hat has been knitted mainly in stocking stitch with a band of pattern work. The hat is loosely based in the Fair Isle tradition where working with more than one colour is used to develop patterns and colour designs in a piece of knitwear. The pattern was developed as I knitted the hat, I did not follow any pattern just made it up as I went along. This like all my hats made in this fashion is a one off because making things up as I go along means every pattern is unquie and will not be repeated.
The hat is knitted in soft acrylic yarns in two shades of orange and a touch of white. Acrylic yarn may be a suitable alternative for those who suffer from allergies to animal based yarns.
The hat may be washed in a machine wash up to 40degrees. Lay flat to dry.
Approximate size: 10inches (25.2cm) wide across the brim, 9.5inches (24cm) long.
