I hand dye the majority of my fabrics. To hand dye my fabrics, firstly I have to wash the fabric and dry it. Then I mix up the dyes individually and add then to the fabric separately. The dyes will merge into one another over the next 6 hours or so that I have to leave the dyes in order for them to take to the fabric. I usually do this overnight so that I am not tempted to look before they are done. I rinse out the fabric to get rid of the excess dye and then wash it again in the washing machine. Then depending on the weather is will line dry or tumble dry the fabric. It is now ready for me to work with.

This is a handmade machine stitched textile cushion. It is made from hand dyed Egyptian cotton and silk fabrics. It uses free machine embroidery, plenty of stitching and plenty of threads. It is backed with hand dyed Egyptian cotton. It has been overlocked on the inside and has a multicoloured gold cord edging, it also has a zip. To make it extra special and plump I have inserted a duck feather cushion pad that is 22" and has a cotton cover, this is included in the price. The cushion pad is larger than the cushion itself which is approximately 18"
