100% pure sari silk ribbon

Sari silk ribbon yarn is a by product of silk sari manufacturing in India, it is not produced from old saris. My silk sari ribbon is silk waste from the sari textile mills in India which would otherwise be destroyed. This beautiful handmade craft ribbon is made by women's co-operatives in rural India. The silk sari strips are hand cut and tied end to end and made into yarn. These women work from home and earn their own income, they have a quality of life and can afford to sent their children to school. This unique and magical art yarn can be used as a knitting yarn, for crocheting, wall hangings, murals, embellishements, rugs, scarves, baskets, hats and many more. You can crochet with it, rug hook, or knit, I also have customers who love it for bas relief.

Let your imagination go wild with this fabulous and inspirational ethically produced silk sari ribbon!
