This scarf has been nuno felted using soft merino wool in a heather shade of purple. It has been felted onto both sides of a pale purple silk chiffon scarf and decoration in the form of "starbursts" has been added to one side using pink and purple shades of merino wool. Clear faceted acrylic rhinestone gems have been sewn on to accentuate the starbursts giving a sparkling finish to the design.
Nuno felting is a process whereby woollen fibres are made to migrate through the underlying silk fabric and bind with it to produce a new material. The resulting scarf is super soft, lightweight and drapes beautifully.
This dress length scarf measures approximately 124cm x 43cm (49" x 17") and would make a stunning addition to any outfit adding glitz and glamour. Great for any party outfit. The use of natural fibres makes this scarf warm in winter yet cool in summer.
A lovely gift for any occasion. The scarf is supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper with a gift box upgrade available in my shop making it an ideal gift idea.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
