I enjoy a nice cup of tea. Tea cosies add that special 'dressed up' something to a tea pot and always make me smile. There is just something cheerful about them.
I have been experimenting with using proggy (a rag rug making technique) with smaller things and I really like these proggy pompoms on tea cosies. I can't resist making one every so often!

Full description
I think this shade of pink is so warming and just perfect for a cute little tea cosy. The body of the cosy is felted wool with the trim made from a grey pink and blue window pane check Harris tweed.
The tea cosy has a bit less stretch than a conventionally knitted one so it opens with a button and loop fastening below the handle to make it easy to put on and take off. The button is covered with the same Harris tweed as the trim.
This tea cosy fits a small 2 cup tea pot.
A lovely gift for someone who likes a wee pot of tea.
