This was inspired by the images used in a Zoetrope or Magic Lantern. The large glass bowl of the crystal vase was perfect for my hand engraving the circular design of racing horses.

Full description
I love to collect things, hunting through charity shops for vintage treasures and source my glass from them. I choose very carefully selecting pieces for their quality, then I up-cycle them by engraving it with my own designs.
This heavy bottomed crystal glass vase has been hand engraved with horses entwined with mist running around the bowl in the magic lantern style inspired by the Victorian Zoetrope. Now enhanced with a unique decorative illustration this is a perfect gift especially for horse-lovers. It stands just over 15 cm tall.
These items are vintage and up-cycled, so if there are any signs of slight wear, they will be incorporated into the newly hand decorated design to create a totally original contemporary piece.
