Full description
This nuno felted scarf has been made using a dark blue silk chiffon base scarf and a blend of blue shades of merino wool and bleached tussah silk. The wool has been nuno felted onto the silk in very fine layers resulting in a very sheer scarf which drapes beautifully. The scarf is super soft and amazingly lightweight and being made from all natural materials is warm in winter yet cool in summer. The scarf has been felted on both sides.
The nuno felting process is a technique that allows the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it.
This dress length scarf measures approximately 133cm x 37cm (52.5" x 14.5") and would look stunning teamed up with any outfit, smart or casual.
A lovely gift for any occasion.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
