Full description
This scarf has been nuno felted using a blend of deep purple shades of merino wool and bleached tussah silk. Woollen layers have been felted onto both sides of a deep purple silk chiffon base scarf. The nuno felting process allows the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. The result is a gorgeously soft and amazingly lightweight scarf that drapes beautifully. The silk chiffon base provides the strength of the scarf allowing the woollen layers to be extremely fine giving a very sheer scarf.
Being made from all natural materials the scarf is warm in winter yet cool in summer. It measures approximately 134cm x 46cm (53" x 18") and would look stunning teamed up with any outfit, smart or casual.
A lovely gift for any occasion.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
