Full description
A blend of red and bright pink merino wool and beached tussah silk have been used to make this scarf. Working on a bright pink silk chiffon base fabric, a fine layer of the blended wool has been nuno felted, a process which causes the wool fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it.
The result is a super soft, sheer and amazingly lightweight scarf which drapes beautifully. The nuno felting allows the wool layers to be very fine with the underlying silk providing the strength of the material.
The variation in colour and white silk highlights in this scarf are quite subtle and difficult to photograph but the fourth photograph show them quite well.
This dress length scarf measures approximately 134cm x 43cm (53" x 17") and would look stunning teamed up with any outfit, smart or casual.
A lovely gift for any occasion, the scarf is supplied in a gift box as shown in the final photograph.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
