These beautiful cuff links have been created from fossils I found on the Dorset Jurassic Coast.
Ammonites, naturally preserved in Pyrite have been cast in sterling silver to produce the most wonderful, solid copies of the original fossils. The toggles of these cuff links have also been cast from fossils - fossil sea lilies or crinoid stems. These have an amazing five pointed star end profile. These were also found on a beach in Dorset.
Each cuff link is different and both have been hallmarked on the toggle with my unique makers mark. Assayed at the London Assay Office.
The ammonites each measure 15x17mm approx and are amazingly detailed. The crinoid stem toggles measure 15x5mm approx. The detail reproduction produced by sand casting is truly amazing. The ammonites and the sea lily stems are connected by chain links.
The cuff links are heavy, weighing a combined total of 18.7g combined silver weight. A substantial and unique gift.
