Full description
This is a gorgeous band style ring. Cast by hand in cuttlefish bone to create natural 'finger pint' type patterns both inside and out.
The cuttlefish was found by me on the south coast. Dried out then cut in half by hand, the the ring band itself was carved into the bone to create a mould, before pouring in molten sterling silver directly into the cuttlefish. This creates a unique pattern in the sterling silver. The mould can only be used once, so each piece is unique. The ring has been hand shaped, finished and polished for a smooth finish.
The ring is a good and generous 6.87g of sterling silver.
The ring I have created is a generous 7mm wide approx. The silver is 2mm in thickness approx - a very sturdy ring - perfect for every day wear.
This ring can be made in any width and ring size, in gold or silver. Please ask for details and prices.
This ring measures a UK size M approx. according to my ring gauge.
Fully hall marked at the London Assay office, it also bears my unique makers mark.
Your ring will come securely gift boxed and packaged.
