Full description
This lovely painted bird measures 6cm high, 9cm long and 4.5cm wide. To make it I first modelled a shape then made a mould from it. I then cast it with white earthenware clay and fire it to 1060 degrees. After firing I paint it, I have used cream over a grape colour base, each feather mark is a single brush stroke, it is then varnished twice to protect the decoration.
