I love the feel of these exquisite Japanese silks and love to make them up into book covers for everyone to enjoy.
The background is a very pale peach which has been over dyed in lovely vibrant shades of orange, blue, green, and russet. The silk is a medium weight crepe which is both soft and strong, which although vintage, is new and has never been used before.
The book cover fastens with an elastic loop and button and has a ribbon and bead bookmark.
Lined with a soft pale green cotton.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
A beautiful authentic, vintage Japanese Kimono silk has been used to make this padded book or Bible cover. Cut from a bolt of fabric which was originally intended to make Kimono. It shows a beautiful Phoenix flying up from the Chrysanthemum flowers and floral ribbons, over a stylised water pattern.
SIZE: for small to medium books which measure (when closed):
Width between 5 and 5.5 inch (12.5 - 14 cm)
Height between 8 and 8.5 inch (20 - 21.5 cm)
Thickness between 1 and 2 inch (2.5 - 5 cm)
Special sizes can be made on request.
Ideal gift for book lovers.

CLEANING:
These covers may be very gently hand washed only.
Take great care of the beads!
Lay flat to dry away from direct heat.
When dry a light press only with a warm iron.
Please do NOT machine wash or machine dry.
