What are you waiting for?? Get outside, find some birds to spot, tracks to ID, things to draw and notes to take! Oh and don’t forget to take your Wildlife Spotter Jotter notebook with you.
This jotter notebook is a mixture of fully illustrated pages, along with plenty of blank ones ready for your drawings, notes and observations. The printed pages are:
Title page – to make sure no humans or wildlife tries to claim your Spotter Jotter as theirs
Birds to Spot (simple) – a tick list of some relatively simple birds to kick-start your bird watching adventure
Drawing pages – a few of these, with space to note date, location and description, and a big space for drawing
Leaf Shapes – Leaf ID page of the most common trees in the UK
Birds to Spot (tricky) – once you’ve completed the simple tick list, you can graduate on to the tricky list!
Mammal Tracks – Footprint ID page of some of the most common mammals in the UK
This is a small pocket book with 80 pages, approx. 10.5cm wide and 15cm tall (roughly A6 size). If you’re taking it out into the wilds (and I hope you do), then I suggest you avoid getting it wet.
Don’t forget! Wildlife needs space to get on with being wild – don’t get too close to birds, try and pet any deer or take home a tree. Observe, learn, enjoy and feel inspired, but leave it all behind when you go home (the odd leaf pressed into your book won’t do any harm though).
