My Humbug brooch has returned, this year I have refined the design and I am using acrylic rather than glass. An unusual brooch for bee lovers.
What I love about brooches is that you can wear them anywhere on your clothes, on your jacket, or your scarf or your hat. Each bee is individual as the colour of the iridescent gilded metal leaf is very slightly different on each one. The thorax of the bee is made using a hand-made polymer clay half bead which may also be slightly different to the one shown. The length from wing tip to wing tip (wingspan) is 8cm.
