The festive colours of this HarrisTweed wreath make it ideal for Christmas, but it would also be lovely to keep up all year. This Christmas Tweed wreath is backed with red velvet and there are a few small pieces of velvet amongst the Harris Tweed. The wreath is made using a traditional rag rug making technique called proggy. The strips of Harris Tweed are woven into a hessian base which is then sewn onto the frame. I think that this makes the wreath feel very sturdy and substantial. The red velvet backing and the luxurious Harris Tweed make this a beautifully textured Christmas wreath. It comes with a red velvet loop so is ready for you to hang. The wreath looks just as good propped on a mantelpiece or dresser at Christmas or all year round.
Size: frame 30cm in diameter. The tweed extends a little beyond this.
The wreath comes with a Harris .tweed authentication label. UK postage is free.

The festive colours of the tweeds I have used just shouted Christmas wreath to me. I love the houndstooth especially and the plain red and green are woven from the same threads as used in the check. I added a wee touch of red velvet because this is usually hidden at the back of the wreath and this seemed the right time of year to pop some on the front. Starting to feel festive yet?
