A depiction of the microscopic world around a quillwort stem from Round Loch of Glenhead in SW Scotland in July 2011. What looks like brown gunk to the naked eye resolves into a complex arrangement of species of green algae, cyanobacteria and diatoms when viewed down the microscope. The print is taken from a painting which imagines what this assemblage of species would have looked like before they were removed and placed under the microscope.

Size: approx. 350 x 280 mm and supplied to UK customers in a mount cut to fit a 500 x 400 mm frame. Each print is professionally printed onto high quality paper using the latest technology archival inks, making the colours light-fast for many decades. Prints are signed and numbered, and the total print run is limited to 20.

Additional terms

The print is supplied in a white mount cut to fit a 40 x 50 cm frame for UK customers. To save postal costs, the print will be mailed unmounted to customers outside the UK. If you would prefer it to be mounted (to fit a 40 x 50 cm or 16 x 20” frame), the additional cost will be £16 (Europe), £15 (USA) and £25 (Australia and New Zealand). Please let me know when you place your order.

Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
