I have been wanting to make a fabric shopping bag for a while as I don't like the plastic carrier bag handles when walking home with my shopping. The new system of charging for carriers spurred me on to create an alternative!

This fabulous shopping bag rolls up neatly and fastens with a buttoned strap, so it's easy to keep in your handbag for shopping trips. It has comfortable fabric handles and is finished inside with french seams for strength.
I have made this reusable bag in a lovely vintage style fabric with pink roses on a black background.
The size is approximately 38cm wide by 39cm high - plenty of room for your shopping. When folded it measures around 8cm x 6cm - small enough to carry in your handbag!
