Winter is with us and I always have such cold feet. I wanted to try out some ankle boots style slippers to keep out the chill and thought I'd try making extra thick ones by knitting with doubled strands of yarn. It worked well and the slippers I've made that way have turned out thick and sturdy. They do need lots of wool but I think it's worth it. Bring on the chill!

Full description
With a chilly winter forecast ahead, these slippers will keep even the coldest toes nice and cosy. They are made from 100% wool which makes them warm to wear as well as being very comfortable. They fit snugly round the ankle with a turned down cuff which can also be worn turned up if you prefer. These lovely woolly slippers are thicker than I normally make so are extra warm and hard wearing. I have added tassles made from Harris Tweed for a quirky finish.
The slippers fit a UK size 5/6 and have rubber stops on the sole to help prevent slipping. Wash gently by hand at 30 degrees or cooler.
