A beautifully soft and lightweight nuno felted long scarf.
This scarf has been made with very fine layers of white merino wool nuno felted to both sides of a cotton cheesecloth base fabric. A blend of pink, purple and blue shades of merino wool have been added around the edges to create a coloured border. The nuno felting technique allows the woollen layer to be extremely fine, maintaining the lightweight and floaty nature of the scarf, while the cotton cheesecloth provides the strength of the material. The fine woollen layers are such that the structure of the cheesecloth shows through in places adding to the texture and beauty of the scarf.
Although lightweight, the natural materials used in the making of this scarf means that it will remain warm in winter yet cool in summer providing an all season accessory that would look stunning with any outfit.
The scarf measures approximately 190cm x 36cm (75" x 14")
A fabulous gift idea for any occasion.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring, roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet, press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
