I always seem to have lots of jam jars around the kitchen. I do make lots of jams and chutneys, but I wanted to make use of all my 'empties'. I often use them, along with mugs that have lost their handles, for storing kitchen utensils and pens but I wanted to make them look more attractive, so decided to make covers. I thought I'd pop one in my shop to see if you would like one too.

Ever wanted to find a use for your empty jars? I like to reuse mine for jams and chutneys, but I also like to upcycle them. This cute jar cosy/cover turns a plain jar into a handy storage jar for utensils, pens, craft tools or whatever you wish. It is trimmed in red, white and blue with a little proggy rosette. Proggy is a rag rug making technique and I have been trying it out with smaller items. I make these jar covers in different sizes and colours so do get in touch if you would like one made to measure.
